Very decent Indian food. Attentive staff and nice atmosphere.
Was very good for the price.
The veggy main paneer was a particular highlight, a must try, really delicious. We were a bit surprised by the big knob of butter served with it though... -

I'm reviewing mostly cause the reviews here are a suspect.
Decor: eating in is nice, it's a very beautiful restaurant with nice lighting. The food also much better looking when presented in the restaurant than take-away :)
Food: The food is good, but Bangladeshi- not 'Indian'. It tends to be tasty but falls prey to the same problem many Bangladeshi restaurants have of having very similar gravies/masalas. It doesn't blow away but are far from 'bad'. Sometimes can be a bit oily/full of ghee. Biggest area for improvement really.
Price: mains for under £7/9 usually. Starters under £5.
Delivery: quick, tends to give free pompadums.
To sum: gourd takeaway at a decent price, but not amazing food is write home to India about. -

The vibe of the restaurant was very nice and so was the service. Not up there for me in terms of the quality of food, but the prices and dishes we had were decent. Tikka Masala was okay, but the other goat curry was great. I definitely recommend the more complex curries.

Were here the other night. Service was top noch. Prices very reasonable. Variety of dishes:
Tandoori mixed grill w nan- great
Duck (Hans Hydrabadi) Delicate so don't overwhelm with sides that are too spicy.
Pumpkin(Loki Julpuri) - great
Spinach (Palak Paneer) - only OK
We will definitely be back here. -

The servers and atmosphere are so nice here! The food is disappointingly average however. For starters we had the Begun-e-Bahar and the Bawarchi Special Chingri. The aubergines were very tender, however I found the dish a bit oily for my taste. The prawn starter was really lovely and I could eat a few of them. The red and green sauces on the plates were super yummy and I would be happy to buy a bottle of it from the supermarket. For mains we had the Raan Mussallam and Chicken Shaskora. The lamb was slightly overcooked however they sauce was delicious and reminded us of a spicy pot noodle we had in Thailand! The chicken sauce was a bit bland and not very spicy even though we had requested hot. The pumpkin dish, Lokhi Jolpuri, was gorgeous and I would be happy to order it as my main next time. The servers were very nice and attentive, however the food was average. The price is pretty good as well.
